Roles, policies and decision rules are written down and agreed by all members — not left to whoever happens to hold the commit bit.
Steering committee
One representative per member. Decides on admissions, the strategic roadmap and anything the maintainers cannot settle among themselves.
Lazy consensus by default
Day-to-day work runs on informal agreement. Only defined decisions — licence, policy or domain changes among them — require a formal vote.
A committed minimum
Each member contributes at least 32 hours a month, in code, infrastructure, documentation or community work. Contributions are reviewed quarterly.
